My job as a therapist is to be your ally and witness, someone who learns about and helps you bring out the best in you, defining successful therapy by your criteria. I use conversations and questions about what you hope to accomplish so that your goals become more clear and attainable, by looking at your existing strengths and resources and judiciously suggesting ideas and resources that may I think will be suitable. We work together only for as long as it's helpful to you, measuring your progress with you to be sure your goals are being met.
