Introduction
Kim takes a holistic and highly integrative approach to the therapeutic process, blending traditional talk therapy with evidence-based practices and approaches informed by modern neuroscience that work with both mind and body. As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (#143946), she also takes a relational lens to her clients’ problems, using attachment theory and our deep need for connection as a core foundation of her work. Like many therapists, therapy is not Kim’s first career. After graduating UC Berkeley, she advanced through a corporate career in tech & marketing in both San Francisco and New York. It was Kim’s own experience with anxiety and burnout that led her to finally take a step back and, after a sabbatical to travel and teach yoga, she spent several years helping career changers and leaders in organizations find more purpose and balance through work as an executive, life, and career coach. Kim holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, and has additional training in Internal Family Systems, Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Child-Centered Play Therapy.
